Sunset Strip

|

Somehow, some way, we made it. We travelled close to 4,000 miles, hitting up only E85 stations along the way and saw over 1/3 of the states in the Union. Thanks to everybody out there who has followed us along the way, had drinks with us at your neighborhood bars, and listened to us talk about our fantastic voyage on ethanol.

We made it to Los Angeles this weekend just in time to have an arrival event at Lovecraft Biofuels and talk with people about the Clean Energy Campaign and Proposition 87 the one Mr. Khosla was discussing with us on the phone the other day). In my short time here, it's pretty evident that California needs to do something about energy consumption. I'd estimate that 70% of our time here has been spent sitting in traffic. At least there's great radio stations!

My buddies left town this morning (I miss you already!), but I'm going to stick around Cali for a little bit to talk with some more people about our trip, hang out with old and new friends, and maybe meet some models. After driving cross-country on ethanol, do we qualify as D-List celebrities?!

Thanks to everybody for the sunrises, sunsets and memories. Nevermind the bugs on the windshield.

Congratulations

Mark,

Well done. Looks like you guys had fun despite the hassle of finding E85 stations. Stop back and see us again on your next trip!

Enjoy law school in the fall. You might want to consider studying environmental law!

What a beautiful sunset!

What a beautiful sunset! Have loved watching your journey and learning about E85, alternative fuels, and flex fuels. Now to just continue spreading the word!
Thanks for sharing your journey with us!

THANK YOU!!

I am almost sorry that your trip is over wish we had a bigger country for you to cross. What you guys have done is amazing only wish I could've been there. Now that you have done something so huge what do you suggest we do now to keep this ball rolling.I have plastered you guys all over forums and my websites hope that brought our cause some more attention. My new goal will be to start a road trip of my own with a R.V. that I will convert to run on Ethanol and pick up where you guys left off by converting as many cars as I can to run on ethanol cross country. Only I will be bringing an alcohol still and producing my own ethanol on the journey.
Maybe I will get to eat some of that sweet apple pie.

Thank you!

Your ego is more important than your message

This is all really about your egos. I loved how you idiots took the liberty to tresspass into a 47-year old classic car while in Nebraska. That's still a crime, even in Nebraska. But your cause isn't about being responsible, is it? Nooooo.... It's about doing what makes you feel good. Whether up on a soapbox or throwing your magnetic sign on the paint job of a $50k restored classic car without consulting the owner.

I know the guy. We saw your video on You Tube. I hope he sues you guys and your organization for your irresponsiblity. I wonder if your journey's backers know what a bunch of self-serving dumbasses you are?

Your message can be conveyed without being an excuse to justify a road trip for your own personal amusement. ....that is, if your true intent was to spread the word, not just get a fun trip off of someone else's dime.

You're bitter

Someone's mom didn't love them enough. You should ask someone for a hug.

Nebraska is for rubbers!

what's tresspass mean? how does magnets mess up car paint? do grasshoppers have toes?
